Also in the mix this week is music from Chukki Star, Sanchez, Papa Levi, Lucky Dube, Vybz Kartel, Bitty McLean, and Gregory Isaacs. New music this week comes from Yvad, Marty Dread, Zamunda, Courtney John, Jah Mason, and Ray Darwin with Fred Locks. We ride the The Think Twice riddim and the World View riddim with music from Fantan Mojah, Zamunda, Luciano, Queen Ifrica, and Conrad Crystal with Suga Roy and feature a lovers rock set with tunes from Alaine, Maxi Priest, Wayne Wonder, Tessanne Chin and Alexander Star.
This weeks Dub Zone features dubs from The Chantells, The Truth, Alpha & Omega, Michael Rose, Dub Syndicate and Earlyworm. This week we ride The Strange Things Riddim, The Sensimillionaire riddim which features tunes from Jah Mason and Carlton Livingston, The Fairground Riddim with songs from Cecile, Fantan Mojah, and Christopher Martin and we also ride the Cool & Deadly riddim featuring artists such as Sadiki, Tony Anthony, and Peter Hunnigale. New music this week comes from I Octane, Midnite, Eljai, TOK and selections from the new various artists cd Reggae Covers for Lovers Vol. 3 featuring Cha'Maine, and Taddy P with Evan Lake. Other artists in the mix this week include Little Roy, The Abyssinians, Norris Man, and a couple of live tracks from Burning Spear, and Ini Kamoze with Sly & Robbie.
This weeks Dub Zone features dubs from The Upsetters, The Revolutionaries, Bim Sherman, The Heptones with The Wailers All Stars and a double play of Augustus Pablo. In this year ending episode of Sounds of the Caribbean we review the music that was released in the year 2011 and played on the show the past year. You will hear selections from Luciano, Richie Spice, Etana, Earl Sixteen, Tarrus Riley, Little Roy, Israel Vibration, Sizzla, and Midnite. We ride one of the hottest riddims of 2011, the Skateland Killer riddim from maximum Sound and play selections from the Gregory Isaacs tribute cd We Remember Gregory Isaacs and the Various Artist cd Reggae's Gone Country. On a dancehall tip you will hear music from Mavado, Pressure Busspipe, and Vybz Kartel. You will also hear music from Ansel Cridland, Tanya Stephens, Yvad, Zion, and Dave Eggar. We round out the show riding the latest riddim release entitled the Cool & Deadly riddim with music from Maxi Priest & Sanchez and our pick for the 2011 Reggae grammy award Stephen Marley.

This weeks show starts off with extended mixes from Barrington Levy, Johnny Osbourne, Burning Spear, Misty In Roots, Cornell Campbell, and Cultural Roots. Also in the mix this week are tunes from Culture, Aswad, Horace Andy, The Viceroys, and Johnny Clarke. Also this week we take a listen to a few tracks from the group Dub Vision and their cd Counter Attack. We also dub it up with Dub Shots from the likes of Rolling Lion Studio, Alpha & Omega, and The Skatalites. This week you also hear several songs from The Heptones celebrating the life of Barry Llewellyn, a founding member of the group who passed away earlier in the week in Jamaica. The Roots & Culture special rounds out with music from Barry Brown, Hugh Mundell, Junior Delgado, Dennis Brown, Mike Brooks, Michael Rose, and Anthony B.

Jamaica tunes coming from the likes of Jah Cure, Luciano, Tarrus Riley, Sizzla, Max Romeo with Winston Francis, Clinton Fearon, Vybz Kartel, and Junior Murvin are featured. Old time festival songs come from artists such as The Jamaicans, The Maytals, Eric Donaldson, Johnny Clarke, Derrick Harriot, Jackie Edwards, and Roman Stewart.
