This weeks show celebrates Mothers Day and all of the great reggae songs dedicated to Mothers everywhere. This week you will hear Mother songs from artists such as Black Uhuru, The Wailing Souls, Richie Spice, Luciano, The Heptones, Mikey Spice, Morgan Heritage, Don Campbell, Sizzla, and Dennis Brown. New music this week comes from Romain Virgo, Gramps Morgan, Damian Junior Gong Marley, Tarrus Riley, Wayne Wonder, and Konshens. Also this week We ride the Heart and Soul Riddim featuring tunes from Busy Signal, Etana, and Chris Martin. We also ride the Feel Good Riddim featuring songs from J Boog, Gentleman, Natural Black and Zareb, and Peetah Morgan.
This weeks Dub Zone spotlights dubs from King Tubby. Dubs with Glen Brown, Yabby You, Linval Thompson, and The Soul Syndicate as well as some classic dubs from Tubby himself. Extended mixes this week come from Luciano, Johnny Osbourne with Papa Tullo, Gregory Isaacs withDennis Brown, and Ranking Dread.

This weeks show begins with classics from Hugh Mundell, Israel Vibration, Sugar Minott, Culture, Marcia Griffiths, The Wailing Souls, and Wayne Jarrett. New music this week comes from Mr. Vegas and Luciano, Gramps Morgan, Busy Signal, I Octane, The Nazarenes with Midnite, and Bob Andy. We go into the dancehall with selections from Jah Vinci, Mavado, Khago, Masicka, Daville, and Gyptian and feature an oldies set with tunes from Desmond Dekker, Ken Boothe, and Hopeton Brown. This weeks show wraps up with an extended set of music from the Skatalites in tribute and memory of Lloyd Brevett, the Bass player of the Skatalites who passed away earlier this week in Jamaica.
This weeks Dub Zone gives you dubs from Aswad, Jah Shaka and Pepper, The Bush Chemists, Dub Creator, and Dub Syndicate with Prince Fari. Extended mixes in the zone come from Misty In Roots, Ini Kamoze, Lyrical Benji and Dub Creator, and Danny Red with Nick Manasseh.

This weeks show starts off in a Dreadlocks theme with music by Black Uhuru, The Gladiators, Anthony B, Linval Thompson, and The Mighty Diamonds. Other musical selections this week come from Sizzla, Earth & Stone, Reggae Regular, Dennis Brown Peter Tosh, The Wailing Souls, Everton Blender, and Barrington Levy. New music this week comes from Busy Signal, Gramps Morgan, Bob Andy, and The Nazarines with Midnite. Also this week Keith interviews legendary guitar player and member of the group Third World Stephen Cat Coore. Keith and Cat discuss the beginnings of Third World, The departure of Ibo Cooper from the group, and Cats view on todays reggae music. Also a whole heap of Third World music is featured in honor of the group playing in Philadelphia.
Inside the Dub Zone this week you will hear dubs from King Tubby, Jah Shaka with Johnny Clarke, Mafia & Fluxy with Barry Brown, Vibronics with Macka B, and Sip A Cup with Negus Roots. Extended mixes come from the likes of Keith Hudson, Prince Alla & Jah Warrior, Max Romeo, Third World, and Don Carlos.

Riddim rides this week feature The Sign Riddim with music from Beres Hammond, Kashief Lindo, and Ambelique and the Joker Smoker Riddim with tunes from Triston Palmer, Mr. Willams, and Ziggi. Also this week Keith interviews Carlene Bowen who is a representative of the Philadelphia chapter of Team Jamaica Bickle http://teamjamaicabickle.com which provides support to all the athletes of the track & filed team Jamaica at the Penn Relays to be held next week in Philadelphia PA.

Join Keith as he plays his favorites from both Dennis Brown & Bob Marley while talking about his memories of both artists from their humble beginnings through their rise to the height of their musical careers. In the first two hours of the show Keith spotlights the music of Dennis Brown and then in the second part of the show Keith features his favorites from Bob Marley & The Wailers.

In this year ending episode of Sounds of the Caribbean we review the music that was released in the year 2011 and played on the show the past year. You will hear selections from Luciano, Richie Spice, Etana, Earl Sixteen, Tarrus Riley, Little Roy, Israel Vibration, Sizzla, and Midnite. We ride one of the hottest riddims of 2011, the Skateland Killer riddim from maximum Sound and play selections from the Gregory Isaacs tribute cd We Remember Gregory Isaacs and the Various Artist cd Reggae's Gone Country. On a dancehall tip you will hear music from Mavado, Pressure Busspipe, and Vybz Kartel. You will also hear music from Ansel Cridland, Tanya Stephens, Yvad, Zion, and Dave Eggar. We round out the show riding the latest riddim release entitled the Cool & Deadly riddim with music from Maxi Priest & Sanchez and our pick for the 2011 Reggae grammy award Stephen Marley.

This weeks show starts off with extended mixes from Barrington Levy, Johnny Osbourne, Burning Spear, Misty In Roots, Cornell Campbell, and Cultural Roots. Also in the mix this week are tunes from Culture, Aswad, Horace Andy, The Viceroys, and Johnny Clarke. Also this week we take a listen to a few tracks from the group Dub Vision and their cd Counter Attack. We also dub it up with Dub Shots from the likes of Rolling Lion Studio, Alpha & Omega, and The Skatalites. This week you also hear several songs from The Heptones celebrating the life of Barry Llewellyn, a founding member of the group who passed away earlier in the week in Jamaica. The Roots & Culture special rounds out with music from Barry Brown, Hugh Mundell, Junior Delgado, Dennis Brown, Mike Brooks, Michael Rose, and Anthony B.
