As Selecta Jerry holds down yet another week of Sounds of the Caribbean, this weeks show is a true mix of classics and new music. The show starts out with Luciano, and goes into classics from The Maytones, Carl Patterson, Johnny Clarke, Cornell Campbell, and Gregory Isaacs. From there we get into the latest music from John Brown’s Body, Daweh Congo, Tarrus Riley, Queen ifrica, Dezarie, Anthony B, and Duane Stephenson. You will hear a double play of music from Dennis Brown and a roots and culture set featuring the likes of Tyrone Taylor, Linval Thompson, Wayne Wade, and Phillip Fullwood. Artists also in the mix this week include Richie Spice, Etana, Al Campbell, Buju Banton, Zema, Pat Kelly, Bushman, and Ras Shiloh

This weeks Dub Zone features dub shots from Jah Warrior, The Abassi All Stars, The Faya Horns, and Dubmatix. We also spotlight a healthy amount of music from the latest cd from Dubkasm entitled Transform I. Also in the zone this week you will hear from Robert Lee and The Dub Syndicate featuring U Brown.

On the new music front this week you will hear selections from Sylford Walker, Zema with The Gladiators Band, Glenn Washington, Jah Cure, Etana, Tarrus Riley with Konshens, and the artist Kabbalist teaming up with Gregory Isaacs on a remix of the classic Rumors riddim. Phillip “Grasshopper” Pickering the lead guitar player and co-lead singer of the band Inner Visions checks in on the telephone and discusses the latest runnings of the band and you will also hear a double play of music from Queen Ifrica’s new cd Montego Bay.

This weeks Dub Zone features dubs from The Mighty Two, Joe Gibbs and the Professionals, Rico Rodriguez, Clinton Fearon, and Mikey Dread. You will hear extended mixes from Shorty The President, Tony Roots with The Bush Chemists, Linton Kwesi Johnson, and Israel Vibration.
